What is Trade Certification?

Trade certification, means certification or qualification, is earned by a person to declare qualification to perform work
Trades are divided into two parts. They are Compulsory certificate trades and Optional certificate trades. To worker in a compulsory certification trade, a person must be a certified journeyperson or be registered apprentice in the trade. In an optional certification trade, an individual can work if the employer satisfied with the skills and knowledge of the person and expected of a certified journeyperson in the trade. Individual must become registered apprentice if he wants to work in that trade. Trade people who hold a valid certificate with a Red Seal can work anywhere in Canada
Each province has their own Apprenticeship and Industry Training Centres which controlled by provincial government.
